Thanks Stan, I've been waiting (in vain) for my phone to ring with an unrefusable offer...
haha good one Gav, bit more practice behind the camera and you could be getting calls from Hollywood !
OK, due to popular demand, here are a few progress pics of the Gavmiesters Bari neck.
looks sweet as DB, has the headstock got some tiger maple veneer on it ? sure looks 'flaming' nice !
so next step to trim the fingerboard ?
you putting one of those cool truss rod covers on this DB to fit in the divot ?
good to see at least 3 layers of tools on the workbench behind hahah
plus your updates break up the thread jacks DB !
Yep, it is getting one of my custom truss covers.
Next up is trim and glue fretboard then radius, dot markers and install the speed humps.
That is a peice of the flame veneer, happy with how it matches the flame in the headstock... Damn I am good :p
Thats my workbench on a good day, you should see it when I am going fully sik!
Here she is with fretboard dressed, polished to 20,000 and speed humps installed..
Now for fret level and dress, shaping and final touches.
wow DB how did you get rid of all that pink paint ?
looking good as usual DB, some nice timber there
Thanx Woks, that NSW quilted Black Butt is a very tasty chunk of tree indeed.
Decided against dot markers, why spoil a nice board with added bling?
Bad enough with the speed humps :)
Neck profile done!
