cheers blokes!
Had a little bit of time today to start shaping the headstock, I wanted to go traditional Jazzmaster spec but there wasnt enough meat on the blank to do it so now its the bastard child of a 57 strat and Jazzmaster headstock.

good stuff Mick this build coming along nicely
-
I've got some packages in the post that are due to arrive this week as well... few little bits to finish it off nicely.
one thing I'm yet to do is decide on and then create a headstock logo, anyone had any experience making your own decals????
-
Hey Mick,
if you want a nice vinyl logo email Andyport from the forum on citysigns at internode.on.net
Otherwise you can buy waterslide decal paper sheets pretty cheap on ebay and print your own.
The vinyl logo's look much better as you don't see the clear paper on the waterslide logos
-
yeah nice, cheers mate.
with the vinyl ones do they sit 'up' like are they as flush fitting as the waterslide decals?
-
Hey Mick,
the vinyl sits up a small amount, but its probably less than half a mm in height.
Once it has clear coats over it the thickness of the vinyl is barely noticeable.
Looks 100% better than the waterslide logos in my opinion.
