Cheers everyone. Gav, the colour is a real fluke. It was the 'orange' colortone originally allocated to my TLA-1 esquire project but quite by accident has combined well with the mahogany and tru oil. The headstock shape is based on a recent GB SG acquisition.
So on this axe I had to sand the neck heel bit flatter, had a bump present. I also am using a GFS lighting bolt wrap around bridge that sits about the right height with posts down on the deck. Running a rule along the centre of fretboard over centre of bridge brings it almost on top bar a mm so action should sit nice and low with a slightly raised bridge.
Face of headstock has been dyed black (FW stain - this is the blackest I find)
Neck glued in and clamped up so should be able to start wrapping up the finish after that (I like neck in place for last few coats of TO to seal around the join)
Vintage style Klusons and bone nut ready and waiting...

Quick update, neck in place. 2x tru oil on the neck.
Once neck and body have 4 cured coats I'll wet sand back and give one final very thin coat.
Tonight will be creation of the wiring harness. 500k vol, 250k tone (CTS) and. 022uf orange drop cap.
A new east coast low is brewing so may play havoc with the curing times!

Almost there, all put together and wired. Truss rod cover to be installed once set up.
One hiccup.. Tone pot 'collapsed' within itself when I put the knob on so will have to replace it today, arghhhhh! (CTS mini..). The 500k Bourne mini volume pot is rock solid. Must have been a dud.
Decal for headstock to follow. I'll retrofit this once I'm happy with design. My last design was too big/fat.

That's a sweet finish Andrew. Like the TO more and more. Might have to use it on my spotted gum. Close enough to a week build for me. Nicely done...
