Yeah I reckon. Haven't got a noise complaint for the sanding. Yet. But got a few weird looks from the neighbours when I used the spray guns. On a Wednesday. During the day. My tube amp isn't getting any love either which sucks but that's the nature of the town I guess.
Andrew that top looks so good man. Making me reconsider my colour on the IB...
Thanks dude. Don't do it! I'm hanging to see a trans purple ib7. It was purple wasn't it?
Yeah man. I was either going to go trans black or purple
For me I'd go purple with a solid black edge but that's just me. And I was thinking trans black for the baritone haha.
Well not exactly trans black, more charcoal with the quilt in a solid black and a sprayed black edge, back and sides.
Here is a question for you guys. The pickup rings are flat! Looking at a few other arches I have the rings are curved with the body shape. Question is when I push down on them over the body they bend enough to get the shape, but will the screws hold out?
The site won't let me upload photos off my mobile lately for some reason.
Are you using plastic or metal? I tried bending some metal ones and it bound the screws something fierce. I'd say plastic would be more forgiving, but it might be a better idea to get some curved bottoms. I think I've got a couple of spare sets in black if you want them.
Hey man. The set I'm using is the ones that came with the kit. I wonder if anyone else has built a lp and had the same issue? They are pretty thin plastic anyway and bend to shape easy enough. My only concern is the screws will eventually give out under the pressure. Anyone else had this issue?
