Looking good. I personally prefer the P90 un-surrounded. I think it goes well with the bridge as is.
It’s been a while, but here are some recent pics. I left it alone for a while but now I’m back in the swing of things again.Attachment 39087

Looking really nice Wayne. The maple top has come up a treat.
That finish is looking really nice! What process did you use to get it that glossy?

Very nice!
What did you use for clear coat?
Great finish Wayne!
Thanks guys, it was a bit of a job getting the top good, as you can see in earlier pics the veneer had holes right through. Firstly I Grain filled the top with Timber mate wood filler and filled up those deep holes. Then I sanded the top off with 400 grit to get it nice and smooth.
Then I gave it a coat of Feast Watsons sanding sealer and sanded it with a 600 grit. When I was happy with that I gave it many coats of Feast WatsonÂ’s gloss wipe on poly, with sanding and wet sanding between coats. The sanding sealer was magic, it hardens up all the loose fibres of the wood and makes it easy to get a good surface for painting. Unfortunately I sanded through the finish a couple of times but got better with every extra application of poly.
Wow Wayne, that's one nice looking guitar.
