I'm going to point out the obvious and say - I'd start a fire and stoke it with that guitar.Quote:

I have a friend who has owned an Ovation Breadwinner for over thirty years. It's a great guitar though. He freaked out one day when it stopped working. He thought it was the amp, but it turned out that it has active pickups, so it just needed a new battery - LOL.
Heres a weirdo.. ugliness up for debate I suppose. From 1898 - the 'horns' were supposed to make it louder.

When I saw this, I immediately thought of the one I saw Flacco playing.
apparently not...

cheers, Mark.
I'm pretty sure the one Flacco had is built by an Aussie Luthier, and the top has a couple of sound holes so the player can hear the guitar in stereo. Makes sense, you don't really get the full effect of your own acoustic guitar otherwise.

It even looks like the guitar is shrugging with it’s arms in the air asking, “Why?...”
yeah, I'm not sure it's up for much debate really ;)
Yeah, not my bag at all. But the Ugly/Beautiful guitar threads are pretty subjective.... at least it looks well made.

Not exactly my cup of tea...
Haha. I hope that wasn't a genuine PRS.

Looks like it could have been however pickups seem different?
Not that the owner of this guitar intended to enter it in a beauty contest...

Well that would cure any tendency for it to be neck-heavy.
Clearly played by a neck strummer.....

Kingdom SOORD.
I’m conflicted about this one. I’m a fan of The Pineapple Thief, but I can’t believe Bruce’s custom guitar is so ugly
That's not ugly. It's certainly not beautiful in my eyes and I wouldn't be tempted to buy one, but it's OK.
Really? It's got no waist and what's happening with that headstock? It looks like someone cropped the photo badly. And the spacing on those knobs!
Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating bit but it's definitely more at home in this thread than the other one! ;)
I definity wouldn’t pay the GBP1200 to get one.
Hmmm
Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick's 9 neck, ummmmm, thing.

I suppose the challenge is set for the scratch builders :)
It might be just me, but I really can't stand the Great Guitar Build Off entry from Ben Crowe this year.

For those that didn't follow along, he took one of his own kit guitars and transformed it into this. It's a "hollowbody" that has literal skewers instead of sides, giving it an open design.
Attachment 41249
He drilled through the body to get the skewers in, and didn't like the way they created little dots in his finish, so painted the edges with shielding paint that he then painted silver.
The back of the guitar was also flame maple, and he painted the entire thing with sheilding paint and silver also.
Attachment 41247
He did a really intricate vine style inlay up the fretboard, but you can barely make out the stem because he chose a colour that closely matches the fretboard wood.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ben is great and love that he pushes the envelope. There's so much great content on the crimson channel that I really appreciate.
But you couldn't pay me to take this guitar.
