Whoa, what a stunner. Top notch, Rob.
Robin, As per usual your build is a stunner. Man that gloss on the fretboard looks amazing.
Bewdiful, that is all :cool:
looks unreal Westie07, what a stunner. Love the shine on the whole axe. Don't worry too much about scuff marks on the FB, as you say you can sand it back when it gets too bad. Better enter it in May GOTM mate, this will raise the bar big time !
I will send the boys around to pick that very tasty Bass up :p
Well done Rob, a true testament to your patience and skills.
I feel that everyone will agree with me that your input to our community, ideas and discoveries have taught us all a thing or two.
I, for one, have stolen a few of your ideas....
And guess what?
You are a Luthier :)
As I've said before I'm not a bass guy, but that build is just stunning.
@Pabs, Tony, Dave and Andy
Wow guys, I don’t know what to say, except thanks. It means a lot coming from you guys.
@Shazza
Yeah mate, but some of us are more unique than others, and not always in a good way. :p
@Woks
Thanks Warren, she was made to be played so bring on the scuff marks I say.
No GOTM for me mate, not really my style. Besides getting compliments from you guys is reward enough.
@DB
No Phil, I’m not a Luthier until I make a neck, and I can’t see that happening anytime soon. Lol.
But thanks mate. Getting compliments from a real Luthier is pretty special and somewhat embarrassing.
Thanks again all ;)
Robin, I know heaps of Luthiers that don't make necks...
hey Westie07 take the compliment from DB mate, if a luthier calls you a luthier then you are a luthier mate !
Phil and Warren,
It seems that in all my years I have never learnt the knack of accepting a compliment graciously. I will remedy that, at least on this one occasion.
So thank you guys, I appreciate the kind words and encouragement.
