Doc if you are unsure have a shot of absinthe mate ! hahah
EDIT PAGE 81 hahah
Hahaha..good one mate, but knowing me I'd probably polish off the whole bottle, forget what I was doing, and then end up with the mother of all hangovers in the morning while trying to remember the wicked dream I had about meeting a green fairy that played a Strat and thought it was Jimi Hendrix reborn...lol
yeah Doc it's not the best idea hence I am not Doc Woks hahah
that absinthe is dangerous stuff, should be wrapped in warning tape haha
Doc thats why the forum sends out a search party if this thread hasn't been updated for more than 48 hours hahha
That usually happens because I end up having to send out a search party to look for the search party that I sent out to look for me, remember, one of my greatest talents was forgetting where I am....hahhhhhahahahahaaaaa.
See, I refuse to take myself seriously Wokka.
If you need a drum track let me know Doc I'll mx one send you one via Dropbox
hows that for service KB !!!
might save you some time Doc, is it easy to change the tempo of the drum track KB ?
That would be cool if you could do that mate, I'm not having much luck getting a decent drum track together, if possible could you make it a multitrack mix with each drum instrument on a separate track so that the tracks are all separate?, cheers in advance, I just need a basic 12-Bar Blues drum track that I can add Bass, rhythm, and Lead too, could you also indicate the tempo as well?, that way I can set the master tempo in FL Studio easily.
Cheers in advance.
What's your Dropbox address Doc private message me doc if you don't want it seen here
You're right Wokka, I'm not having much luck getting a decent drum track together, I tried a couple of things but they weren't working the way I wanted them to, FL Studio seems to be more happy with straight 4/4 grooves than shuffles, it does have a "Swing" function but it doesn't get the shuffle I'm after, it has a roundabout way of changing from 4/4 to 3/4 and Triplets.
Sure Doc no worries
Yeah I did Simon , I've created folder just uploading you'll find two lots of audio files one is processed with Api2500 and SSL the other is totally un processed. The processed one will inspire your bass guitar and guitar playing let me know your thoughts lol when you've received them. Have fun
Kimball
Cheers mate, much appreciated, my dropbox let me know that it was uploading some files and I saw that the tempo was 80 Bpm, that should do fine for the demo, I should be able to get it all sorted out fairly easily now, I'll post a public link to the demo in this thread so you'll be able to check it out.
Hmmmmm....that's odd, it's saying that there's no files in the folder even though Dropbox definitely downloaded them.
11 pages in 2 days Doc?
Also an interesting fact, this thread has been viewed a total of 10,000 times!
It's still uploading Doc it's 385 mb
You should have it now Simon
lol everytime I get on here it takes me ages to find whats happening with Doc's guitar!
Update:
Okay so kimball492 was nice enough to help me out by recording some drum tracks for me so I can get the new demo done for you guys, again thanks so much for that kimball492.
Here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to see if I can chop all the audio files up into 1-bar loops so that I can use them in either FL Studio or Ableton Live, I'll be working on this all day today and hopefully I'll have a finished mix for you all to check out by this afternoon, I managed to get Dropbox installed on my Desktop DAW PC and have copy/pasted the audio files to the desktop, previously I only had Dropbox installed on my laptop, anyway, stay tuned for more updates.
I don't know wether or not you use this method Doc of importing audio into FL studio. If not might help, then you can cut into one bar sections on the fruity loops timeline. http://youtu.be/gmg7-Ghz5mI Have fun
Cheers mate, I'll check that youtube video out, I might learn something from it that'll save me some time.
I just checked it out, that's a different method to what I normally use, normally I just drag the audio from my loops folder onto the FL Studio playlist, but that method in the youtube video seems a whole lot simpler.
Sigh... Technology..... What happened to the good old days when we used a manky old cassette recorder?
This always helps DB https://www.facebook.com/jam406/posts/10153534307451961
Ugh, Grug play wicked pentatonic riff, take too long to chisel notes into stone.....
Attachment 10529
Haha...good one FrankenWashie, I see that Ugh is really psyched to be recording his latest single..."Caveman Blues" for his new album, "Prehistoric Rock", I'm speculating that both the single and the album should hit number one after all the hype.
Rumor has it that he's slated to be the headlining act in the Jurassic Park World Tour that kicks-off at the start of the Ice Age, how cool is that?
wow you turn away from this thread for half a day and there are another 2-3 pages haha
any joy with the recording doc with KB's drum track ?
Here's another option for importing multiple stems into FL Doc

Take ya time Doc it'll be cool when it's all done.
I guess one great thing about technology I don't have to use Auspost lol
