I just think it’s funny that the famously litigious “G” would make something that immediately makes me think of another brand’s guitar.

I think it's funny that these are in the 'beautiful guitars' thread... ;)
Yep, it was a tongue in cheek comment. :) Being mostly an acoustic guitarist* I tend to be quite traditional in my outlook. :)
* using the word in its loosest term...
Fodera Nautilus. Wow.
Gratuitous inlay porn! WOOF!
Now this I like! Story of the build is here:

a few more to drool over
Got back from a cruise last week and the bass player in the ships orchestra had one of these, tuned B - B through a Hartke amp and it sounded superb

Wouldn't call this beautiful.. but it's certainly....er...something. Bass Harp?

I do NOT want to do a fret job on THAT!,,,or play it LOL
Why stop at 17 strings? Seems rather arbitrary.
Can't wait to see YouTube Davey have a crack at playing it!
I like the fact that it has the cut away, just so you can squeeze out a few extra notes.
I prefer calling those things 'stringed electric instruments' as they certainly aren't guitars or basses.

End result looks fantastic
That's a stunning bit of timber, and a great way to put it together. His pencil guitars have popped up in my feed previously, and they're pretty awesome too.
That oscillating belt sander tho... whaddya call GAS for power tools?

Depending on your taste, this may belong in the other thread, but something about the "wide hips, narrow waist" on this one really works for me.

It changes colour depending on the light. James Tonguet, on the right, is the builder.
That's crazy - would love to see it in motion, I suspect photos don't do it justice.
Here's some stunning work from a local, Jens Ploesser:

Have a look at the fretboard on this guys strat style neck.

Very impressive stuff. My first (on paper) design was Bunya body with Qld Maple neck, but I'd never imagined a fretboard like that.
Meanwhile, I found this. Best super strat ever.

Isn't that standard? Personal taste is a funny old sausage.
Hey Zandit, hows the Fishman pickup in your acoustic build working out for you? I have a guy who wants me to sort out an in guitar pickup system for one of his acoustics and we keep coming back to that one (I think you had the Matrix infinity???)
