Not sure tbh Fretworn? , all the holes have been filled/plugged so options are open. I do know I'm not really a whammy user or at least havnt been in the past so its possible I'll deck or block the bridge anyways.

In that case I’d suggest sticking to the 6 screw, traditional style and set it up flat to the body. If you aren’t too fussed about using it as a whammy bridge, I’d suggested getting a Wilkinson or Gotoh traditional style bridge and go from there. How many tremolo springs do you have, and are they in good nick?
Thanks Waz, I do like the look of the tremolo pics/details you posted from realparts and am pretty keen to buy. A little bit of silver with the black appeals.
looking at getting some Toneriders from PBull and considered the 'budget' tremolo too, and was wondering if the realparts bridge is definately better than the cheapest chinese, hard to tell. In no hurry and really just contemplating tbh and interested in any feedback from everyone.
cheers and regards Guvna
I have that trem on my black strat, the block weights about 4 times what the chinese ones do so, much more sustain. Liked it so much I got a gold one for another strat project.
I have bought a couple of their Tele bridges plus one for my J Bass. Quality is vastly superior to stock kit Chinese stuff.

Howdy all, been quiet due to issues on the homefront but still lirking and admiring all the builds across the forum, congrats to all the GOTM entrants, so much to ctach up on.
Got my heart set on a Wilkinson 5+1 bridge which has been out of stock for a while on realparts , but intend on holding out till available. Also looked at some pups and kwikplug gear on G/Fetish, but undecided, probally go with the local PB toneriders, no hurry.
anyhow catch up more when I can and get inpiration from all on this forum.

I'm definitely a fan of the tu-tone hardware.
Life has been taking over a bit for me as well so the pace of output has slowed. It's like anything, its peaks and troughs.. you just need to ride out the troughs to enjoy the peaks.
I'm just glad this forum is so active so there is stuff to come and browse through everyday.
When you’re done it could be a brother to my Tele

Howdy all, hope your all well ! Need some Help !
Today i shielded my strat pup cavity's and soldered a wire from the bridge to the copper shielding in the pup cavity. Is this wrong ?
do i need to wire the bridge to the volume pot?
regards Guvna
As long as the copper shielding is connected to ground, then it’s fine. Best way to check is use a multimeter. Plug a lead into the jack, and there should be continuity from the screen of the jack plug to the strings.
But on a Strat with a trem, the bridge is normally grounded by a wire from the back of a pot to the trem claw.
