It's looking great, Barnesy! Nice shine!
I dont see why you couldn't cut the plug thing off and solder yourself.
I didn't see your question last night, but cutting the plug off and soldering to the braided wire would be no problem at all.
Attachment 23394] a bit of electronic work
Soldering all done just have to get it all in without braking any Attachment 23395
Attachment 23441Attachment 23442Attachment 23443Attachment 23444 and ive done the same with the gr1sf as the es1tl, im happy enough to call it done. The wiring loom all worked so next job is to feed it through the neck pocket then glue the neck in
wow that's stunning well done Barnesy. Do you need to feed the wiring loom through the neck pocket ? presume there are more switches so probably won't fit through the F hole
no worries. I'd tape off the surrounds of the neck pocket when you set the neck so no glue touches the lovely glossy finish
I'll be waiting to see how you go! The finish looks great!

So it all went in alot easier than through the f holes ill test out tomorrowand see if i broke any solders. Not sure about the pick guard think i like it better without
Wow! Dress it up and it looks even better! Well done! Fingers crossed on the solder joints... you could plug it in to an amp, and lightly tap the pickups with a screwdriver to check it works.
Your guitar so your choice.... but I would say it looks better without the pickguard.... lovely finish, seems a shame to hide some of it
Wow looks really nice. Impossible to say re pickguard, I like it either way.
I left mine off. Didn't want to hide any of it, but I think it looks good either way
From the sounds of it, you may need to check all your joints. The solder should be bonded onto the lug and the wire. Here’s one I prepared earlier...

Not the neatest, but you can see the solder has completely flowed into the holes and soaked through the wire. Hope that helps?
Yes it looked like that but let go on the back of the pot
Attachment 23599 after 4 or 5 goes at the wiring finally got it working, screwed everything on and glued the neck in this afternoon
Very nice. Finish looks great.
Attachment 23610 trussrod cover and graphtec tusq nut glued on
Attachment 23628Attachment 23629Attachment 23630Attachment 23633 strung up this arvo and hanging with his buddies. Going to let it sit for a few days till i do the action and intonation
Interesting TRC Barnesy. A little jarring to the eye at first, but I like the way it copies the headstock contours.
Nice Collection. The green LP is speaking to me.

There’s some road miles in that axe...

My wife gave me the ultimate compliment today, she said (that looks like a brought one )

Intonation done and a nice set of phosfer bronze strings , looks and sounds like the real thing. Sounds quite nice acoustically a lot better than i was expecting.
The strings made a big difference to the sound both acoustically and through this amp, its very nice to play
Sweet result Barnesy, really lovely looking guitar.
That looks great, Barnsey! Well done!
That looks soooo good, fantastic work
