Sorry guys I realise now I should've put more info into my post. Muzza my psd file is on my work computer (so can't access it till Monday) but the way you lay up your artwork is fairly straight forward. Whatever you want printed as gold you put on the Layer that says gold only ( I used a yellow for the layer of gold) black is black, white is white. As long as you don't change the names of each layer and you put the artwork that you want on the corresponding layer it'll all print out the right way. I hope this makes sense. I must admit I really felt like I was flying blind when I laid up my artwork but if you put each colour you want on the right layer the print comes back as expected. I believe the psd should have CMYK values for each layer.

Geez, when I clicked the black and gold option, the price shot up to b@ggery...
$64 for an A4 sheet. I can't tell if they're American dollars or Aussie dollars. They're based in England by the looks of it.
Yeah mate I did the same thing and then opted for just doing two 3x3cm decals for my two builds. It's very pricey. But like many of the steps during both my builds I end up opening my wallet more than I expected!

I've had to move forward and glue the neck because I have to move out of our house in a week due to the fact that I'm tearing down the back wall, dropping the ceiling and a whole host of other unsightly Reno business! Anywho the neck glueing went well. I love this stage when the build all of a sudden feels like a guitar! Can't wait for hardware and finishing.. Not long now!Attachment 9299
Now, that's a great shot showing the finish you've achieved! Funny how the preview image is upside down! But that's a gorgeous result!
Very nice i hope i can achieve something similar.
A real stunner with the finish on, really brings out the burst
I'm with frankenwashie.
Wowsers! Looking amazing.
cheers,
Gav.
Damo that looks amazingly nice bro, you really have nailed the finish. Can't wait to see pics with the hardware on !
Thanks so much guys! I am pretty damned excited to finish her! Awaiting for the bone nut to arrive. Also the bournes pots sit really high above the body so it looks terrible. I have to source another set of nuts for the inside thread of the pots so I can adjust the height. A few annoyances at the end of the build but nearly there!

sounds good Damo. This will be a very tough build to beat it in GOTM
Wow that is looking really amazing

Gorgeous - nice work.
Nearly there with this build. Awaiting a righty bone nut from PBG coz I was sent a lefty by accident.
Other than that minor detail I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of next week!Attachment 9780
and looking brilliant!
The guitar looks awesome, DD.
I'm sure this question will show my absolute lack of knowledge of kit building, but...... what's the difference between a right and left handed nut? Wouldn't you just turn it 180 degrees? Or is there some other bevelling of the faces that I'm missing? the pastic one on my tele kit looks pretty square all around.
Amazing 335 dude. A really beautiful finish you've achieved. Great job.
Cheers,
Gav.
Hey Peter I wish it was as easy as flipping but its beveled on the headstock side. The plastic ones are square but bone nuts that DB makes have a bevel.

And thanks Peter, dedman and Gav. I'm thrilled with the finish.

You'd think so, but the grooves in the nut are all cut at different widths to suit different gauge strings. Normally you will find that the headstock side of the nut will be bevelled or curved to provide a smooth curve for the strings to go over as they run down to the tuner stems. The fretboard side will be more or less straight up and down. Plastic nuts are less defined as they are generally moulded to shape, whereas a good bone nut, or a graphite nut will be hand shaped to preference.
DB has a good thread on this going in the "DB's Corner" section of the forum

Edit: he says, coming late to the party!:o
I'll add my gaping jaw to the list of accolades for that finish, very impressive darthdamo.
Hopefully DB has now sent the correct nut and you can get this one finished for our April Guitar of the Month comp.
Wow that is a stunner of a finish.
Beautiful guitar and finish.
