Great job Tadeo, Well done on Dads banjo too.
Head piece ready for staining. Complete with inlay. Attachment 6314
Thanks the banjo is coming on great.
Attachment 6315ready for final coat.
well done Tadeo the headstock and inlay looks great. Also the banjo coming along nicely well done
Almost finished. Any advice on where and how to place the string retainer.
Hi Tadeo, so its a JB-4M hey, you need to fit the tuners, assuming the neck is screwed on and the bridge is screwed in place. Put the strings on.
Assuming the retainer is a round one like the picture attached, place the retainer about the same position as the photo between D and G strings (bottom 2 strings) and when the strings are in a straight line to the nut drill the hole and screw it in. You may have to release the tension on these strings.
Please post a pic once it's done
Thanks. Having trouble posting pics.
There is a little wire in the bag. What is that for?
I'm thinking its solder.
Hi Tadeo, yes the thin wire dull silver colour would be solder. Have you done the soldering of the wiring ?
You might need your Mum or Dad to help you resize the photos to upload, they have to be under 1mb in size and under 1500 x 1500 resolution. Be great to see how the build is looking
I think might actually need to be under 1000 x 1000 resolution
Hi Maddog when you attach a picture the forum tells you the maximum sizes depending on the file format, as the pic below
I've just seen 1000 mentioned in posts, eg the sticky in the FAQ section
Hey Maddog the sticky note in FAQ maybe out of date, I resize my pics longest side just under 1500 pixels and they upload fine.
Anyway back to Tadeo's build diary would love to see a pic of the build Tadeo
Hope your build is going well little champ! Can't wait to see the finished build!
Attachment 6819Attachment 6820managed to cut it in half. Out busking hard to get my next one. Any suggestions in what to build next and any upgrades for both this bass and my future build?

well done Tadeo looks great ! You can upgrade your bass to a bone nut, some nice pickups and bridge and it will play better.
What do you want for your next build a bass or guitar ? What style/shape do you like ?
Won second place in a busking contest today. Orded a st-1 today with my winnings.
What bone nut do I order?
You want the F-type to go with a ST http://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/u...-type-guitars/
And for my jazz bass?
For the bass email adam and dingobass and they'll be able to sort out a custom order
Thanks will do
Hi Tadeo congratulations winning 2nd prize in the busking competition. Send DB an email he will cut you a bone nut. You will probably have to sand the bottom to get the action lower, but well worth it !
awesome effort on the win, more guitars!!
Great job Tadeo
Attachment 7062the neighbours love it. It's so much fun. About to start my second. It's just arrived.
great photo Tadeo the bass is about as big as you. Huge inspiration to all other 10 year old and young kids you are never too young to start building and playing a guitar or bass !
What is the next kit you got ? think you mention a ST build ?
Yes a st. Planning do do it in a mat black.
Attachment 7074here it is
10 years old and already suffering from G.A.S.!
G A S ? What ?
GAS is Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, where you just cannot stop buying more guitars (and kits!) :)
Yes kinda:cool:
