Just for that, I am turning the beer off for a week ;)
Yay! More beer for DB! :)
Wok's and I have long suspected that you have tapped into the Beer pipeline. Now the truth is out!Quote:

Yes DB I will be putting flowmeters on the beer pipeline and making sure the volume that leaves the kegs is the same as what the naughty room members consume. I suspect you have put a sly pipe tee that plumbs beer into your man cave !
As it was me who had the pipeline installed, I do have some private access rights :)
That's OK - no one tell DB we've been relabling the Emu Bitter kegs as Coopers.
Hmmm. This reminds me of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy regarding the planet Bethselamin where...
"the net balance between the amount you eat and the amount you excrete while on the planet is surgically removed
from your body weight when you leave; so every time you got to the lavatory there, it is vitally important to get a receipt."
Just swap 'planet' for 'naughty room'.
and eat for drink...

DB - what sort of strings are you running there - not sure I've seen any like that before.
Hey Brendan, the strings are Ernie Ball flat wounds. The only strings to use on a fretless neck :)
Final touch... Headstock logo, Red Abalone..

I'll swop you this for my Conch Girl and Amaranthine burst HB4....
Yeah, but we all know the HB4 doesn't exist!
Been so long since I last saw it that there is a distinct possibility that the termites have eaten it! :)Quote:

Damn this is looking sweet DB, what I wouldn't do to have all the gear (and the skills lol)to try something like this.
Is this a pressie for yourself or do you sell them on?
Gav, what can I say other than perfection takes time.... Albeit a looooooong time.
Note to self, finish Gavs HB, DB.....
Bargie, this one is a test/ experiment of a new model and ideas so she will prolly stay in my ever growing personal collection.... Unless some one gets that glazed look in their eyes and pulls out the wallet and waves cash under my nose :)
Forgot to say, Bargie, that my very first build was done with just a router, jigsaw, rasp and a few manky old chisels.
You dont need a fully equipped man cave to build, just a few tools, a couple of chunks of tree and a bucket load of patience.
The rest just follows on.
Worth it's weight in Wild Turkey is it?Quote:

Ummmmm, Lawry, at the current price of American Honey it is worth about 60 bottles....
I think that 'er indoors, the Minister of War and Finance would prefer it if I took cash though.... ;)
I am currently on booze rations, only allowed one bottle a week. Probably better that than a cranky Better half....
Yeah I'd be holding on to it too, it's a major thing of beauty. I'm hearin' ya regarding the tools and definitely gonna have a go at a scratch build in the near future. Now I've just got to sell another bit of gear to make it happen, unfortunately I've gone from a rich shearer to a poor stay at home Dad so the missus could go back to work, ideal for building guitars though I guess...Quote:

anyone wanna buy an SG? lol
Stay at home Dad has got to be a better deal! Much easier on the spine.... I worked for years as a Stone Mason so
I know all about stuffed backs.....
I can't even imagine how tough being a stone mason would be on the body, damn!Quote:

I shore for 13 years and it's a thankless job designed to destroy a man. Money's awesome, you get to see the world and meet great people but otherwise it sucks.
I'm raising my kids, building guitars, writing music, I'm the brokest I've ever been in my life and I've never been happier, kinda living the dream really (except for the poor bit lol)
Two herniated discs, one torn and just to add insult to injury arthritis and bone spurs.... Thats what you get from chucking boulders around.
I too was on insane money but like you, never been as happy since I have been doing what I really love- building Axes :)
Right on brother!Quote:

Well. Good on youse, I say. I can totally understand the sentiment.
Think I might go and shear some sheep and throw some stones around.....Quote:

Or just find some stoned sheep.
How bout we stone some sheep...
So, today after Woks visit I decided to fit the pup surround.... after some surgery to the body..
Spent an hour last night making the surround, only to discover that for some strange reason I had made it to fit a five string pup. D'OH!
So now she has a five string pup 8O
BTW, as usual, Woks bought some quality beer with him. Cheers Woks 8-)

And a few more.
I decided to attach the pup surround with brass nails....
Also, several coats of Dingotone clear went on yesterday.
Will leave it to settle in and cure for a few weeks before I apply top coats.
Only other jobs are to make control covers and all is kewl! 8-)

Holy s*#t DB, that look's like a million bucks man, seriously.
5 string pup shouldn't matter should it?
Not at all Bargie. She sounds better with this then the four string pup.
That is just awesome DB. Really love it.
Have you or Wokka tried this one. I had one tonight and its quite something....

Cheers Analyst.
No, have yet to try that one...
Hey Analyst,
no haven't tried that IPA, I'm a huge fan of hops and US beers, I'll see if I can track some down. Where did you buy it ? you are probably interstate from me.
That's what I would have done DB, routed the pup cavity to fit the 5 string pup. Looks sensational the bass !
NICE VERY NICE!!!
Blank cheque is in the post....
