Wokka,
You should hold it over, we can make next month the SGDtember GOTM ;)
Plus I wouldn't want to go up against another SGD !
I want to see how the SGD goes up against it's arch rival, the LP!@!!
yes Pest I am trembling in my boots, waiting to see final pics of the LP, sounds like we might as well give you GOTM now and all other entries won't stand a chance !
hahahaha!!! The sound isnt all that flash hot, but at least the pups make sound!!! I might try to get a custom PCB made to eliminate soldering, which in turn helps the pots as they wont malfunction :P :D
so its a bummer Pest you could have been on the forum judging panels all these months you haven't entered and now you are entering you can't be a judge ! Maybe next month bro !
Yeah, maybe next time I can be on the panel, but at least I get to be a part of this awesome competition!!!
yer good work Pest, 2nd most posts and probably biggest build diary (what 28 pages ?) and 1st entry
you can be on the judging panel next month !
Yes, over 4k views, over 200 replies, I have 1175 (this post) right now, 28 pages...
What's up guys,
Just carved and finished a new St-1 guitar kit so I thought I might enter in into the August comp, I haven't used any stain just true oil to finish the body and neck to get a natural look, I've incorporated spirals (koru) into the body and head stock which represent growth, peace and tranquility among other things which I think fits it well with the growth of learning the instrument in its different forms and feeling peace and tranquility while playing it, hope you like it and look forward to the feedback.

Cheers ray glad you like it

Marcus, that's amazing, I love it. Well done mate.
Cheers

Pretty stunning guitar, just love the fine carving and overall styling of this one.
Specialised skills have doubtless come into play to create a great customised axe.
Impressive.
I am not a great fan of carved guitars.. but this one is the exception to the rule :)
The carving on this Guitar has a deep spiritual and cultural meaning and the planning and execution of the carving is impeccable.
Well done and thank you for sharing this beautiful Guitar with us.
Well, I think it's time to unveil the beast!!!
The first build from Pest's Custom Guitars is the PCG Les Paul Custom!
Here is my LP-1, finished in Wudtone Dark Onyx and Goldenrod for the body, and Original Vintage Yellow for the neck! This build has been a long one, 283 replies and 4754 views!!! I had some school, financial and glue problems, but I solved them all and created something extremely beautiful!
Now for some pics!!! (btw Adam, use whichever pics you want for the judge/s)
Drumroll...
A bit more info about the guitar's finish: I went for a more vintage finish, by having short sanding attacks in some places, and I even went a bit easier on the binding, to make it look a bit more vintage!
Ok, time for the pics!

I am sooooooo glad I don't have to choose a winner out of all these epic and beautiful Axes....
In my mind, all of you are winners! :)
I concur DB, every month the bar gets higher and higher!!!
Here is Magellan, for your consideration. Everything is stock, except the Schaller strap locks.

Good one Keloooe,javascript:void(0);
Cheers RicMo, your entry isn't bad at all either!
Pest, LP is like something from the ArtPunk Museum - like it. It reminds me of my first LP, a refinished (by me in Dad's shed) Yamaha lefty LP.
BG, I suddenly feel like doing a big hair-metal session! ;) Once wokka's SGD lands it will almost be purple v. brown this Month!
I would happily join in a hair-metal fest, if only I had the hair.... :D
