Is that body template that kuanjb found suitable? If you need it, I can easily enough put a neck onto that template as long as I have the nut width.

Hi Woltz, definitely a good starting point but if you are up for the challenge I have found the specs.....
Attachment 31012
Nut width 1.5" = 38 mm
Neck width at 12th fret 2.156" = approx 55 mm
String spacing at bridge 0.70" = 18 mm
Thanks, Waz
Nice job Woltz, next most important is neck angle. It usually helps to do a profile to ensure you have the correct neck angle for your chosen scale length and bridge setup.
No worries Waz. I'll take a look over the next few days and draw something up.
Absolutely Stan, I agree, I need to get some measurements of a tune-o-matic and calculate it. And then I'll print the plans, transfer them to mdf and check everything works.
I'll gladly send you my left leg if you can make a drawing of this (the slab version of the Mosrite Ventures II):
The dimension of the body should according to info available on the Mosriteforum.com be 17,5 x 13,5inches (34,3 x 44,5cm) ;)

P.S I did first write “my left arm” but changed as it would create problem playing the beast once finalized ;-)
Is this you in this thread (http://www.mosriteforum.com/forum/vi...hp?f=20&t=7781) and did the other member get you the pdf he had. I can put one together but if he has a pdf schematic it'll likely be more accurate than what I can draw without a physical reference in front of me.
Hi Waz,
Here is a draft plan (the scale pdf is too big to attach here so P.M. me your email address and I'll send it to you).

I ended up drawing the body because I realised on the other plan the layout and shape wasn't quite the same as the XT-2. This should be pretty close. The overall length in the information online is 38.5". My drawing is 38.43". The only way I can get it more accurate is if you can give me the dimensions of the headpiece and the bridge.
I also drew it as a neck through because you mentioned about possibly having a go at a neck through.
It goes without saying that you should print it and make up a MDF template first and layout your hardware on the template to make sure it all works. If the plan needs any alterations let me know and I'll make the required changes.
Hi,
That's "me".
I did receive a drawing but it was for the "German Carve" version of the Ventures II -model (and the same you can find here: http://www.tdpri.com/threads/printab...157004/page-31 ).
The one I'm looking for is the "slab version" (the same as on the picture.
Ah ok.
I can draw something up as long as I can find enough of the measurements that I need.
Is this to modify the kit you've ordered or build from scratch? If it's for the kit, the kit looks pretty close to the original and without exact measurements I'm not sure how much better the plan will be compared to the standard kit.
Thanks Woltz.
