I've a V kit sitting there, but that doesn't give me a lot of real estate for what I had in mind. I will have to contemplate a new kit, I have plenty of wood for a scratch build but I don't want to waste nice wood on something that is going to get painted black and white.

The kit came today, and both my wife and I are dying from cuteness overload. It’s so tiny!!! He’s going to lose his mind.
My phone ran out of storage so can’t take pics - will post some as soon as that situation is remedied.
Just caught up with this thread JohnH, I am just now doing the same thing with my 5 year old. By the time we get around to finishing it I'm sure he'll turn 6.....;)
