Slow day at work so it was guitar part ordering day.
So on the way for this one is

That along with the Seth Lover pickups and I'm just about ready to go.
Started sanding the neck last night and saving the sawdust to try and fix up the flaws in the veneer.
Looking at doing this one with a vintage vibe. All the images I can find have the same neck stain / colour regardless of the body.
What would be the best guess at the stain colour of this neck? A walnut?

I did a red/black ES with a burst around the sides and neck. See if that helps. It's on Non Pitbull ES330 Tribute.

I'd imagine that the body and neck on that ES have been finished with the same cherry stain, but the mahogany neck makes the stain look a red/brown colour, whilst the maple laminate is a lot lighter and so the cherry stays bright.
So if you want to duplicate that look, I'd mix up some mahogany with the cherry for the neck only.
Bits day is always exciting, doesn't matter how simple.

You might just want to put a bit of tape over the end of the truss rod nut itself, to stop paint getting in there.
