Great design concept Deddy and looks like some nice grain to work with too.

Have about 6 coats of TO on so far. Have adjusted the pick up cavity to take the humbucker , it needed some off all round and some extra depth as well as there are so many wires coming off it.
I mixed the stain from wood dyes and a touch of black ink. The sides are mostly cedar with some red and black. the top is a mix of cedar, orange and red.
There was a thin glue line down the centre and in a couple of spots near the edges. I got out my tamiya modelling paints and mixed up some colour to match the stain, dabbed it on, then got a super fine paint brush and painted some spalting over it.

Will that D letter be stuck onto the body or headstock ?
the D is just a joke Wokka, Duesenburg have a D about there on their guitars.
I do one coat in the morning and one late afternoon Wokka, TO dries pretty quick.
Looking good Deddy. You should be good with the TO routine, I do exactly the same.
no worries Deddy, I reckon the D would look good on the headstock if it will fit. D for Dedman haha

For once my sense of self control (or is it self preservation?) have prevented me from pulling the trigger on a few in the last couple of weeks. I may have to give in on a DM for Christmas.Quote:
