Completed the remodeling of the headstock.
Also removed that shonky plastic nut as per DB's excellent video on the topic.
Order for the bone replacement pending.
Spent the afternoon on the body .... sanding, and more sanding, and even more sanding .....
Starting to get real smooth :D
Nice headstock shape.
Nice clean headstock shaping Jed. The bone upgrade is the way to go & enjoy the sanding! Its worth all the effort cheers
Hi Jed, nice work on the headstock and love the grain pattern happening there too.
Strongly suggest investing in a set of replacement Tuners for $48 from Real Parts as the stock ones are not too good. Most other bits are OK except for lack of bridge saddle travel on the kit supplied bridge. It is just OK for standard light gauge strings but on mine I found there was not enough compensation available if using slightly heavier gauge strings.
Cheers, Waz

Body finished in Feast Watson mahogany stain and Wipe-on Poly in my attempt to achieve a wood-grain finish, although I wasn't expecting quite as much of a purple hue in the finish colour. Neck is natural Dingotone which is taking a very long time to cure completely probably due to the cool temps recently and higher humidity due to all the recent rain.
I invested in a few of the most essential fret leveling tools and have had an attempt at the leveling process per the Gavmeister. We will see how successful I've been when I get through the assembly process.
looks great Jed51, I've used the FW mahogany and it does have a purple hue, but looks great
