Gibbo speed knobs is a bit different but still looks cool as does the rest of your build. The neck has that aged look already and should blend in nicely with the tones in the body.

Got the neck on now. Broke one of the screws on the machine heads. lucky it broke of at the head so I could get it out.......

I religiously wipe the screws in a moist bit of bath soap to lube them up including neck bolts as that Rock Maple is, well, as hard as a rock and this prevents them twisting off like the one in your photo above.
I bought a block of bees wax and it sits on my work bench when I assemble anything, I just run the thread section of a screw along the edge of the block before putting them in, also makes em easier to get out.

Good idea Dedman, I have some as well, din't even think of using it.......
Got all the hardware on now. Just waiting the the replacement screws from DB and I'll be in business. Neck still a little tacky, needs another week or so before I polish it up I guess.

The scratch plate looks good with the colour of the body in the end.

Strings are on, need to get the action sorted and the adjust the truss rod. It's playable though!
