no worries Dedman, don't stress too much I've found pages and pages of US plates on Ebay from an Australian seller for around $12-14 including postage

they are a bit like guitars...hard to stop at one, especially when they have crazy state slogans like "Live Free or Die" from New Hampshire or the Alaskan NW territories ones shaped like a polar bear.

haha no worries Dedman, I've already planned in my head how it will be constructed. Going to build a plywood box, neck through and screw the plate to the box top
