Fret worn I agree they used to have a bit of a toy reputation. But Yamaha bought them out approx 2 years ago. Wether or not that's a good thing or not that's a different matter. I know they ruined Cubase. But the amps and guitars are supposedly now for the working musician. We will see lol. Paul Hind Marsh uses the line 6 gear live with his solo stuff and the 300ft gorilla bands. For the studio I think it would be a versatile multi instrument amp and the di out is great.
Looks too complex for me.
I have a Vox VT40+ & VT80+ that both come with plenty of preset sounds and still trying to work my way through the 99 or more combinations. The little one is plenty loud enough through a 10" speaker and the bigger one can become a bit too loud through the 12" speaker.
The 1,500 watts for the Line 6 is a bit of an overkill too, even if they are borrowing ideas off PA's as who really needs that much headroom? Probably only stated to help justify an exorbitant price tag.
