Yep, I've just been doing some tracing out of the wiring so I can work out where the broken wires go, I need to remove some heatshrink insulation from one of the switches so I can work out how the middle Pup is wired-up, the jack is mounted on the edge of the body like a Telecaster, here's a pic of the jack so you can see what it looks like:

Yeah, I agree, it's not very often that you get to work on one of these, you should see some of the other guitars my mate has, the last time I was at his place he got me to install a new mini CTS pot in his Suzuki LP guitar, he was really happy to get it working again.
@ Pabs that does have some similarities
@ Doc just measure nut to 12th fret should be about 323/324mm if a F type scale
What it looks like is that my mate either got someone to make a new scratchplate for his Blazer, or, he bought it online and had it modded to accept the Humbucking pickup.
