Art Deco lap steel scratchy

Oh yea! , a thickness planer would be great just about now.
Instead it's a couple of hours of sanding.

I'd already decided that, once the 12 string is finished I was going to strip down and re-make my old scratch built lappie. So I will be watching how you approach yours so I can steal ideas.

I borrowed this belt sander from my brother in law OMG what a beast!
One hour of hand sanding down to two minutes of beast power!!
80 grit to level out the plane marks, 150 to finish to no marks left state

I found some plans on the net, so I'm using those as a base and then making it up as I go along ;-)

Sorry about the delay, this one is proving a little hard to fit in.
And a couple of my headstock ideas have ended up a serious time vampires and major fails.
