Thanks for the tip Mr Kelly, There are some Rickenbacker knock offs on ebay for around $100.00 au delivered, but as always risky purchase without hearing them. I'd be interested on you opinion of the Darkstars - I'd go for those considering price, delivery time and just to support PB a bit. My RC-1 should arrive early this week - the shed is cleared, tools and paint ready - can't wait. Cheers

Hoping for the Darkstars to arrive mid week and get them into the guitar by this time next week and will let you know what I think. Not sure how to get a sound clip happening and won't promise anything like that just yet.
