I have had to order some 10MM ferrules for the Gotoh tuners, and I have ordered a Joe Barden bridge.
I had to start the back of the body again because the clear lacquer "bloomed" and went opec in places.
Apparently the clear didn't like the low air temperature when I started.
The new coats of clear haven't done that (yet??)
I'll post photos when Ive got something to show ;-)

The Joe Barden bridge is a really nice addition. You wont regret it.

Looking good Bruce. Sounds like you have a good plan, keep us posted on your progress. Cheers!

Good stuff, Bruce.
Hate it when the clear goes milky...
Pro tip: when the humidity goes over 50%, dont spray :p

I figured out that one particular clear didn't like the dupli-colour top coat.
So I went back to white knight squirts, I'm now getting a better coverage on the body.
Next will be taking to it with 2000 grit after I give it some curing time.
So I'm at a bit of a standstill until the new bridge comes in.
I'm really appreciating the pit bull community and the feedback!

I thought I'd update my build status,
I'm still waiting for my Joe Barden bridge, and I am struggling with the finish on the top.
A spray can incident, gave it a bad case of solvent burn so I am sand it back to a flat finish so I can get a new coat of colour on it.
I will then start the clear again, I think I will use the "wipe on" clear this time, the spray pack clear just doesn't give me enough cover.
sigh......

hey Bruce hang in there mate. It's so easy to have dramas with clear coats. Make sure any wipe on finish is compatible with the dupli colour coats

Woka,
i was going to use the Mini-max wipe on poly, ill have to check it out.
Thanks for the heads up.
