no worries Ultpanzi. Some nuts have a flat and some a curved bottom. Probably easier to get a flat bottom nut. Might pay to get a 3mm wide router bit for the channelling but if you have a small chisel and do a practice run you should be ok

Yeahh, I went and got a flat bottom nut. I'll consider getting a dremel router bit, thanks for the advice.
Bit the bullet and cut it in. In retrospect, I really should've paid someone to do it because it wasn't worth the effort and time and swearing. Here's a pic of the slot and one of the nut sitting in nice and tight.
look at it this wat mate, you did it yourself and you did a nice job
doesn't look too bad Ultpanzi, hope you worked out the scale length and the correct measurement from the first fret.
I wouldn't glue it in place till you have strings on and check the string height
There was a fret slot where the nut slot should've been (I checked by mesuring that it was the right spot) so I worked off that. I measured the action and set it how I'd want it, but if I need to change it, I can always knock it out. I've had plenty of practice doing that cos I've swapped out many plastic nuts over the years.
ok no worries sounds good Ultpanzi
J custom style inlays are in. Id like to say they're real but thatd be a lie. I dont have the equipment or skill required to inlay something this complex.
nice one so its a sticker ?
are the dot markers real MOP or stickers as well ?
Yeahh, somewhat of a sticker. It doesnt feel like a sticker its more of inlay sliced super thin with an adhesive backing. I think its 0.07mm thick. So it feels like real inlay and its made of the same material but its a sticker. The dot markers are part of the inlay sticker.
