These are ridiculous looking guitars, but I love the steampunk themed finish on this one. Great job.Quote:

nice looking axe Barry, so this is a BC-1 kit ?
love the look you got, have the gear wheels been air brushed with stencils ?
Yeah. Come up better than I expected.
A mix of stencils airbrushed and good old fashioned paint brush work.
I was almost tempted to countersink and screw the gears and cogs into the wood. Maybe next time.
great work Barry, suits it well
Love it. That's an awesome paint job and suits the Avenge shape very nicely! Steampunk is such a great theme. A worthy contender for GOTM this month!
cheers,
Gav.
Nice one Barry!
Cheers for the compliments peoples!!!
Hi this is my entry for consideration.
ST-1 kit finished Feast Watson cedar stain, neck done in FW golden teak. Camphor veneer on headstock. Black control knobs, pickup covers, switch top fitted. 4D Guitars vinyl logo by Andyport. Red mirror pickguard and tremelo cover kindly made by Pablopepper.
Bone nut fitted. Cleared in about 10 coats of naughty corner tru oil. It plays and sounds good.
