If you want versatility you could always build a standard TL kit and then do a custom wiring setup that allows you to switch between standard Tele and bridge-only Esquire wiring. A mini 3PDT toggle switch should be all you need and would probably fit nicely between the pots. You won't have the clean single pickup look of the Esquire, but you'd get all its sounds, plus have all the standard Tele options.
