Andrew - Timbermate is available from pretty much any woodworking store - or if it's easier - Masters or their big green competitor... Generally near the painting aisle that has spakfiller / that sort of stuff in it. Comes in a range of colours - browns and black - dead easy to apply and cleans up with water...

Thanks guys. I have no hardware store near me so while I was in airlie beach I picked up more than I think I'll need. Don't want a 7 hour round trip for sand paper. Hopefully when I get home this arvo the kit will greet me!

So the kit arrived today. Time to get my luthier on. Will post photos when I get this Damn timbermate of my hands haha

good stuff Andrew, always super keen to see what grain you got in the ash body, not that it matters to your build with solid paint
-
Mate the grains real nice hey. For my personal preference I don't like seeing joins in the wood on the top of a guitar. With the 7 string I want to order I'll be getting a spalted cap so that will be stained. Preferences I guess. That's the beauty of these kits.

Photos ????? You must have washed that timbermate off your hands by now

the neck has been sanded down, masked up and had 3 coats of primer. will be sanding that back tomorrow and repeating. i found a small groove in the heel of the neck i will need to fill tomorrow and sand flat as well if the primer doesnt fill it. wont bore you with a photo of a primed neck with blue 14 day tape. sure you've all seen it before.
