Well thanks guys. I really appreciate your comments.
This build was certainly a challenge. A lot of firsts for me. I am glad it's done.
I started thinking today, my wife bought this kit for me for my birthday last year and it's almost that time of year again. I checked my order summary and laughed out loud. The order for this guy was made on the 6th of June 2013. One year later, to the day, I post the final pics in GOTM. Weird.

Said it once, and I'll say it again: you have an incredible build here.
Looking forward to see what people challenge you with. :)

Up until now, I personally disliked boards with prominent inlays.
This jobbie has changed my tune . . . .

Nicely done! Looking great there Pabs - where did you get the truss rod cover from?
-
Awesome looking IB1 Pablo, its been worth the wait - 12 months to complete. Azure matches the fretboard inlay so well. Look forward to a sound demo once its all set in. Have you got a tremelo cover or are you cutting a new one ?
You have set the standard very high already. Not sure what I'm entering this month

Once again, thanks for the comments fellas.
@Brendan, I made the truss cover from a piece of brushed aluminium engraving material.
@Wokka, 12 months from order. Due to backorder, some shipping difficulties and going overseas, I didn't end up starting until late September/early October. But still, long enough. I decided against a trem cover. I didn't like how the one that came with the kit fit, so I blacked out the bare wood and left it off. Not planning on putting one on. I kinda like being able to see the guts of it.
