On this Axe I thought I would go with a Gleaming front and rustic Mahogany back so I have gone light on the sanding on the back of body and butt of the neck.Want to try and get that well played sort of look and due to all the glue that was there I thought I would maybe use it to an advantage.

Hi Jarrod,
The burning sun on the top looks awesome, and contrasts well with the Mahogany. I love how it highlights the flame maple! Is this where you are putting the Tru-Oil? How about a couple of pictures so we can see how it's going? Love the headstock shape too.
cheers,
Gav.

Sadly I have been off shore working so not much has changed and I'm away most of January too . But I shall get into it over Christmas.

OK so I got the Father inlaws TL-1 finished . He asked for a red wood finish so I had mahogany and mixed it with burning sun and well this what happened . Totally standard and finished in tru oil , now on to the prs .
