Bass Guy may have some informative porn to share, but I've stumbled across some pure porn...[img][/img]
Think of it as the GOTM eye candy on steroids....

I agree with Gav's favourite books, i know a guy who owns all SM books and dvd's, which most of the dvd's I've watched, and i've read pretty mush all the books!!!! I would reccomend getting the How to Make Your Electric Guitar Sound Great book first!
Being a librarian myself. I have a quick tip, check for these books on bookdepository.com first. I have purchased a veritable library of the stew mac books, mainly from this site, though there are a number that aren't available. It will save you the horrendous postage costs and it is in AUD. Also another great beginners book, How to build electric guitars by Will Kelly. It was written in response to the boom of online guitar kit purchases. Not quite as in depth as Dan Erlewine books but very good.
Better yet hit Trove and see if a library has a copy you can borrow first before you buy.

You might find that the book isn't all it's cracked up to be.
My local library has the Martin Koch book shown above. I'm sure lots of people who had a better working understanding of woodwork and a more technical brain could find it very useful. But I personally wouldn't buy it. Having the chance to borrow it first means I won't make a regretful purchase.
I have the Martin Koch guitar book on PDF, it's only just over 5MB if anyone wants a copy, let me know
that is a great book stan,, i have that myself ,, good reading on guitar building !!!
