I drilled a hole to the control cavity. I have a very long drill bit I use for this.

Okay, that would have been my plan, too. But how did you attach the ground wire to the bridge?

You don't really attach it. You strip the insulation away from the tip of the wire, fan it, and then screw the bridge down tight over the bare wire.

Good to know! But i think that will be a little bit tricky with my bridge, as i will need to use the riser, that came with the bridge (Schaller 3D-6) in order to get the saddles high enough to align the strings over the fretboard. The riser doesn't cover the whole base plate of the bridge but just a ~3/8th inch frame of it. Perhaps i strip the insulation and let the tip of the wire run down the screw holes to make contact with the screws. Do you think that will work?
