Couldn't you just have written 'BACK' on it in large letters?
Surely there was a 'deep purple' gag someone could have made here?
Somebody once asked ME for advice.
I bought several cans of acrylic lacquer spray paint from the hardware store. When I started having finish problems, I did a little research and found that particular spray paint was discontinued almost 10 years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if I found out that stuff was 15 years old.
Sometimes it would literally bubble like a spilled soda when sprayed, even after soaking the cans in warm water, shaking them for 5 minutes straight, and painting on dry days, waiting WEEKS between coats, etc. Sometimes a coat of clear would wrinkle the bone dry color coat underneath!Attachment 37025
Lesson learned: Use fresh paint!! Use quality paint!
Most of mine involve measuring twice and making the same error both times...
I'm assuming that polishing through the finish and having to redo it is just considered a standard learning point, but what about doing it twice in succession in exactly the same place?
Pretty standard.
