I had an original S2 Fender VI, the one with the bass cut strangle switch.
One day I will forgive myself for letting it go in 1975, or maybe not ( Adam there is a desire amongst some of the forum ;-) )
The VI on the Wiki page is an S2 ( 4 switches on/off for the three pups plus the strangle closest to the control plate )

I didn't think any bass players liked Fender VIs. It was just us guitarists who loved to the riff from Aerosmith's "Draw the Line".
