I think lifes got in the way of the best hobby in the world. Had 2 deaths in the family quite close together and a hernia op, put me out for awhile but im back. Doing a 65 fender jaguar kit from a JM-1 the link is in my sinature below. Btw love the finishes on your axes, dont ever stop using your talent mate.
hi guys bit of an update on the lag, i decided to smooth out the front of the body as wasn't sold on the lip, i have tried something different i laid down a red base coat 2 coats and went over the top with candy apple red tint its come out a very deep blood red rather than a silver base and put 6 coats of clear the pic's dont do it justice. Paint is pretty soft as weather sucks atm here in Adelaide going to haft to leave it a week before i polish it have put up a pic that shows the ridge on the front more pic's to come but you can see where im going with it

Cheers guys, the Lag is finished very pleased with it its now in my top 3 guitars i have and play every day, colour is amazing but cant get a pic that shows it, i have upgraded pups and surrounds from black to cream, pots and control knobs to Les Paul type. for those who want to copy the colour its 4 coats of hi fill then 3 coats of shanghai red then 4 coats candy apple clear then 10 coats of clear lacquer w&d then 2 flow coats all up i have 110 hours in it heap of sanding to level out the front and smooth out where the knobs are went the extra mile because it will replace my Les Paul with i find to hard to play in a wheelchair anyhow hope you guys like it. that's me till after xmas and PBG have no stock of the one i want
