@Wokka - thanks man! Yeah it's been a marathon, but the results have finally matched up with my initial vision. Very happy!
@Fretty - no i took great care to make sure no paint got in the f-hole at all. I really like to see bare wood when I look inside a hollow or semi-hollow guitar. It's the best look IMO.
cheers,
Gav.

Gav, hearing the bellbirds in your backyard always makes me think of driving holidays as a kid.

Thanks guys. @Fretty - yeah I love listening to them. Something very calming about those little buggers. :)

hi guys,
New pickups arrived in the mail today from GFS. These are the Retrotron "Liverpool" Mini-Humbuckers. Should sound pretty sweet.

Trouble is, even though the stock pickups that came with the kit are smaller than regular humbucker size, they are still a whisker bigger than this standard mini-humbucker size and the mounting screws are a little further apart. Looks like I'll have to make new pickup surrounds to accomodate these.
cheers,
Gav.

new pups look great Gav, so are you saying the mounting screws for the new GFS pups don't line up with the existing holes in the surround ?
Is that paint on your loungeroom carpet 8O ? hahahah
