haha yer, that was a massive possibility!!!
Hmmm.... Checked the back today, and I forgot to burst the butt end of the body, so there's an area where you can see a lighter patch of Dark Onyx there, and I accidentally went out too far on the butt end adn now that part has to be sanded back a bit...
I will manage it though, I'm planning on doing the base coat for the Dark Onyx next!!!
Hey guys, I got the third (and hopefully the last!) coat on the top!!!!

I am getting pretty excited now, I'm getting closer and closer to the finish line, most likely a contender for GOTM July!!!!
nice going there !
Did the silver highlights last night, they didn't really like being wiped away, but hopefully I can clean it up a bit tonight!!!!
I'll do the first top coat probably tomorrow night or Saturday night, I'm almost done!!!!
well done Pest, you may need to steel wool some areas where the highlights build up before the top coat.
Take your time with the top coats and wait at least 48 hours between coats. More thin coats are better than less thicker coats so don't go overboard with the top gloss.
Then its glue the neck and wiring !
The LP/SG are probably the 2nd hardest kit to wire up there's over 20 solder joins, and don't forget the earth wire before you knock in the tailpiece post !
