Not necessarily beautiful, but not necessarily ugly either.

Personally, I really like it. Especially knowing how much work would have gone into hand carving and hand painting the snake. Not everyone's taste I know, but I love things that are unique and out there. Each to their own. ;)

How on earth they made it look that good, I don't know. All I know is it makes me feel giddy looking at it. The sheer awesomeness is overwhelming.

I'm definitely not in the 'snake lovers' camp. But I am for the quiltie!

I bet you could play some slithery scales on that bass. In taipan this though... It's a bit too reptilian for me. ;)

40000 years old and it went into a bloody lefty - damn shame :P

Truth though - really not digging those pickup mounts or whatever they are.
