I trust you have put the dog-ear in place when shaping the template? They take up more space than you think. Had to reshape the scratchplate on my SG Jr a few times to get it right.
I take it a razor blade and some sanding of the runs before another coat of yellow?

Re: sanding, I would explicitly use the term "strip sanding" when fixing runs. I'm sure you know what I mean.Quote:

Whilst I know what it means, a mental picture of McCreed sanding whilst naked still appeared in my mind. I'll have to go and lie down to recover.
