Ha, thanks! If and when.
If you have any experience with the set neck kits you will know they only fit together one way. A little while ago I was thinking about why I’ve been have so much trouble with floating bridges with my other two kits? It occurred to me the necks have been set at an angle for non-floating bridges (please correct me if this is untrue). This time I have raised the depth of the neck pocket and adjusted the neck angle to what I hope will be appropriate for a floating bridge. As a result I have some gaps to fill. Maple veneer to fill the gap as seen in the photo and plans to put a rosewood cap on the back.
Truss rod cover. Straight or curved. They both look good to me so I might do both at the same time and see which turns out the best/most practical. Before any says yellow would make a lovely contrast, I will use rosewood, with brief consideration for mahogany stained maple.
I like the straight one, but you are right... either works
Straight-sided for me as well.
