Thanks Kim, it has been a labour of love, and I have enjoyed the build even with the trials and tribulations. And you are right, there is a certain satisfaction in a troublesome build.
I doubt I'll ever have the ability to make her "sing like a canary" but I'll be using her at church on Sunday and doing my best.

Hey Rob will you be posting a demo? Would love to hear the p90s! Even if you record your church performance

Rob, I know it isn't what you planned, but it is a gorgeous guitar.

Hi Nick, I won't be doing a demo at church. I will only be 1 of 3 guitars playing through a very average house PA, so not much value in that. But I have recently purchased Reaper and I am trying to get into some home recording, so I am hoping to do a backing track and play along to that. It will be rubbish, but I'll keep you posted.
Up until now one of my favourite guitars has been my single pickup PB Double Cut Jnr. I upgraded it with a Lollar pickup as they seem to make highly recommended P90's. Although I absolutely love that pickup for overdrive it doesn't do "gentle" very well and so not totally suitable for church. At home I don't have a decent amp, so I play mainly through my effects pedal with earphones and I must say that I am very pleasantly surprised with ToneRider P90's. I can only imagine how good a P90 sounds through a valve amp cranked up a bit.
Its not a true A/B comparison as the Tele doesn't have a tone pot or cap to affect the sound quality so it sounds a little raw compared to the Lollar, but they sound very similar to me. I don't think that the TR's have quite the articulation of the Lollar, but with the extra neck pickup there is a much wider tone range. All up, at about half the price of the Lollar (I got 2 ToneRiders for a little under the price of the single Lollar) I am very pleased with the TR's at present.
I can't wait till Sunday to give her a try out, I'll be the only non Humbucker there so I should be able to pick her out of the mix ;)
Cheers mate
