Unfortunately there isn't a guide on the forum for bursting. I'm thinking of doing a video on my method for my next build. I use water-based Colortone dyes from Stewmac for my bursts which are a little easier to work with, but others have also achieved great results with Dingotone.

Serious case of burst envy lol
Might have to get some blank sheets and practice, practice, practice
This is the technique I used, see 6th post down. I used colortone stains & tru oil on this axe.
