That should do it! And requires no trip to the hobby store!
Does it have any kind of applicator? I like the little tubing nozzles you fit on the tip of Zap-type CA bottles. Good control.
Yes, came with those “whip” applicators, but my gap is pretty big so the normal applicator was ok plus had the tape to protect the outside areaQuote:

Once dry have to sand it down, wish me luck ! If anything this project has improved my restoration skills, I keep hacking away at this guitar even after I think it’s finished!
Excellent! I'd leave it 24 hours and see it needs a top-up.
I think once you get more poly or Tru Oil (can't remember) over it, you'd never know it was there.

Rather than trying to sand that little filled area with a block or just you fingers, you should use a technique called "strip sanding".
It is a much more targeted approach and significantly minimises sanding areas that don't actually need it. (collateral damage, if you will)
Strip sanding is generally used on open, flat areas, but I believe it could done successfully with an interior corner like a body & heel joint if you got a little creative. Worst case would be sanding each surface separately.

Thanks Mcreed, will adopt that. Actually saw a youtube video yesterday from Stew Mac on drop filing and they also demonstrated strip sanding to smooth out the finish . now that you mentioned it, will try it out, makes sense for such a job. I think I went a bit too much on the CA. Have a fair bit to scrap off with a razor to level it out before I start to sand it smooth. One corner needs a little topping up of CA. Will post pictures as I start the process.

That's my go-to reference when I need to explain either the "razor blade trick" or strip sanding to someone that hasn't done it before.
