Thanks Gentlemen.
I'll take some better shots over the weekend.
It sounds pretty good with the stock pickups. I am quite pleased. I am going to get it professionally set-up as I don't have the expertise or tools to do it myself. I know what needs to be done though. LOL. The neck seems reasonably well adjusted, but it is mainly the nut which requires most of the attention. It is playable, but the strings sit way too high.
My 16 year old daughter loves it!!

I get some 'DeLuxe' feelings when looking at that bridge. Far more better then the original Tele bridge ;)

Top effort Chris.
Nice feeling when you finally get to play your new creation and everything works and sounds good too.

It's a terrible Melbourne rainy day today, so I only got another indoors shot.
It still comes up reddish with the flash. It's not like that at all. It's much more yellowish that that in real life.
(That's my 16 year old Daughter - please continue to be respectful like I have come to experience in this great forum.)

Hi Chris, looks great.
Was this built for your daughter as it looks like a girl's name on the headstock?
-
Yes it was mate. Shana loves the guitar.
I wrote the capital S in the wrong spot as the string tree covers it. She didn't mind. It bothers me , but it would be a big ordeal to fix it as I wrote it with a sharpie and covered it with TO. Ah well, we live and learn.
She's been playing the thing all the time between her homework schedule for the past couple of days. I keep telling her that the action is way too high, but she doesn't care. She'll get a shock when it comes back from getting set-up I'm sure.
Now back to the MM build..........
Just a sneek peek......

Man that looks great Chris. Awesome job on the burst. I like the head stock. Did you darken the area behind the nut or did it end up that way either the clear. I like how it makes it look vintage.. can't wait to see the MM build ...
