This is an absolute ripper Gav!
I have the same kit and am at the point of wanting to test the neck alignment. No finish on my kit, as in this pic... My question is about how you mounted the bridge for this? I don't want to put in the ferrules for the big screws the hold the bridge in place until I put on the finish...and am curious how you handled this?
I just pushed the bridge posts into the pre-drilled holes and mounted the bridge. When I was dont, I just levered the bridge posts back out again and then started finishing. I often find this is a good idea anyway as any issues needed to get the bridge posts into the holes can be noted before the finish goes on.
Hope this helps!
cheers,
Gav.
Thanks! My worry about doing that has been that the posts might pull out later under sting tension. Have you had any issues with that?

No problems at all - the posts are nice and tight. Dont worry, it's quite normal to install the posts during the mock build. The holes don't change or anything like that when you pull them back out again. You wont have any issues.
cheers,
Gav.
That's great news. Totally the best option. I do want the bass to play well even if I don't get it as pretty as yours (and BTW, wow!). Thanks!
