@Stan - thanks for the kind words, but it's not a patch on AJ's effort. I am learning though! One of these days I'll produce a build where all the stars are aligned and everything goes right ;). Not yet though - I'm getting there, but I'm not there yet! Still a lot of luthiery black magic yet to learn...
cheers,
Gav.

Wow, that really does look superb Gav, shiny as.
I'm sure a lot of us are going to end up looking like crabs....
....one huge arm from all the polishing. :D
My JM will be ready for the shiny treatment in a weeks time.
You must be stoked with it so far...looking brilliant!!
Cheers
Andy

hi guys,
@Andy - yeah thanks man. It's getting there!
I finally finished the polishing today - and so on to the shielding and fitting the first of the controls - the 3-way switch. I wired it up using 4-core shielded wire from Stewmac. The installation went pretty smoothly using the aqauarium pipe method - it only took 3 tries to get it in!

... and I didn't stop there. Once I had one piece of hardware installed I was like a man on a mission. And very soon after (well more like 3 hours later) all the hardware was installed.

Just the wiring to do now (eeek!) and I'll be done with this one.

It's looking good Gav, lets hope you never have to remove it (the switch). Is your bridge ground in place? I can't see it in the pic so I'm hoping it's just tucked out of sight, or are you grounding via the trapeze?
-
@Scott - thanks dude. Yeah I've soldered a wire from the bridge post to the pickup cavity shielding and from there out to the body. The wire is just inside and can't be seen in the photo.

Wow. Yeah, just Wow. Hey, if you're going to enter this in GOTM for March, do us a favour and enter at the end of February so you don't scare the others off.
