I guess that'll teach me to be a bit more careful next time.
I'm going to try sanding the scrapes with some 320 or 400 grit sandpaper and see if I can smooth them out, my Soldering Iron isn't working at the moment, cause the Iron needs replacing, so I'm not able to try the hot iron and wet cloth method on the gouge, I'll have to wait til I buy a replacement Soldering Iron.
Some good did come of it though, it made me take some time off working on the guitar to allow the gold paint time to properly dry, I am really surprised how long paint takes to dry with Darwin's climate, it seems to take something like a good few months or so before the paint is truly dry, see, that's my impatience getting the better of me again.
